Stiftung Gerhart-Hauptmann-Haus – German-East European forum

The foundation offers a forum for debate on contemporary German and European history. The programme includes lectures, readings, exhibitions and film screenings, together with national and international partners, too. The Forum also owns a special and extensive library on the history of East Central and Eastern Europe. University classes, internships and expert advice for academic projects are available for students.

Events are generally free of charge. There are reductions for events held in cooperation with the Volkshochschule (Adult Education Centre) or other partners.
