Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Expierence (P.R.I.M.E.)
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a postdoctoral funding programme called "Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience" (PRIME). Instead of scholarships, it provides positions for highly qualified young researchers of all nationalities and disciplines. The sponsorship comprises a 12-month period abroad and a six-month re-integration phase at a German higher education institution where the recipients are employed as postdoctoral researchers for the entire sponsorship period.
The next call for applications will probably be announced May, 2024. The application deadline is August 31, 2024 (DAAD Webseite). The earliest possible starting date (funding period) will be in June 1, 2025.
If you are interested in applying for the P.R.I.M.E.-Programme in collaboration with Heinrich Heine University, please do the following:
- Search for a host institute for your research project at HHU. Information on research at HHU can be found here.
- Prepare your research proposal. Information on the application requirements can be found at the DAAD website.
- Form 1 (Binding declaration from the German host institution) needs to be signed by the HHU administration. In order to get the signature in time, please contact us at least 4 weeks before the application deadline:
